On 9 December 2012, The Rainbow Carnival, which will be taking place at the Rabindra Sadan Ground in Kolkata (Calcutta), India, from 12 to 8 pm, will be a space for exchanging problems and sharing information about the LGBT community with people from different walks of life . This event celebrates the colours of diverse gender-sexual identities in Eastern India. Everyone is welcome irrespective of caste, creed and age for free. Anyone who believes they have talent can perform on stage. The carnival aims to be full of fun frolic, games, music, thought provoking discussions and unadulterated gossip. 500 people from the Kolkata area are expected to attend.
